Doug, I don't know if you had sent me the serial number for the records, but 1882 would be too early for a top lever gun with side locks. The earliest serial number I have is 10020. The side lock was patented Nov. 27, 1883, so my guess is that they were first produced in 1884 at serial number 10,000. Blue Book of Gun Values lists guns by percent condition, from your description it sounds like 30%. 50% $900, 40% $700, 30% $550, 20% $400. This is for a Quality F the lowest grade made. The book states add 33% for 10 gauge.
