The LCSCA 2015 Challenge Event Display Archived Message

I woke up with a jolt this AM when I realized the 2015 Challenge is little more that six weeks away; and just how much work remains to be done! And one of those tasks, which I've delegated to John Liles (thank you John!) is to assemble another awesome LC gun display; and in that regard our goal is to assemble a display featuring one example of every grade hammer and hammerless gun cataloged and produced by the L.C. Smith Company, Syracuse, New York. As there weren't many thousands of Syracuse era Smith guns produced, especially in the hammerless configurations, this will be a real CHALLENGE for the Challenge! As we need help, please contact John () or me () and let us know what you have to share. The highest grade hammer and hammerless models are obviously the most difficult to locate; so we certainly need help there (even a well-used example would be welcomed), as well as any Syracuse era oddities (factory/Hunter Arms re-barreled guns, hammer to hammerless conversions, custom factory reworked guns, etc.). It's doubtful that such a Syracuse gun display has been assembled since old L.C. sold his company to the Hunter Brothers; so ours would be a very special and unique display if we can pull this off. So please let us know what you may have to share at your earliest opportunity, and we thank you in advance for your willingness to help!
    Best
    Tom
