It will be interesting to see if it is original or not. I tend to agree with Craig Larter's post above, the wood looks a bit too plain for a Quality 4 but hopefully yours is original. I'm not sure what the checkering pattern should be, but David says 26 lpi though. You should find some one to re-checker your forend to match the stock, it would be well worth it. Clean out the slots on the screws and use the proper driver. If they've been in there for 127 years they might be stubborn. I have no idea about the frame weights. The gun I examined last night is a grade 2,and not the heavy frame, it weighs 9.8lbs with the 30" tubes and is a lot of fun to shoot.
