I've done in three deer this year with handloaded buckshot in old side by sides !

The first this season was on a DC Permit with a circa 1890 Quality 2 10 gauge Smith ! Shooting handloaded #1 Buck .

The second this year was with a Parker GH 16 gauge damascus gun and again handloaded #1 Buck . The day I took this one I also had a 444 Marlin up the tree and shot a second deer with the rifle about 30 seconds after shooting the one with buckshot .

Last saturday I was hunting with some friends as they did man drives and I walloped one with a nice old 1920's Ithaca NID 10 gauge with fluid steel barrels shooting handloaded #3 Buck in the right barrel and 000 in the left barrel .

And finally about three years ago I used my old circa 1881/1882 W&C Scott damascus 10 gauge with handloaded 00 Buck .

Now that I'm done blooding my three usable 10 gauges on deer . I'm starting on the 12's !
Next year I'd like to get my other 16 gauge a 1930 Utica AH Fox A Grade blooded on deer as well . The remainder of this season I have a couple Parker 12 V grades to use . But next year perhaps I can also use my 12 gauge Ideal grade and a Field Grade that was resleaved by Westley Richards !
