I looked at an early #1 or #2 today. The SN is 10XX. I was unable to take the gun down to see the marking on the water table. It had the circular scroll engraving on the side plates, stamped L.C. Smith and the pretty scolloped frame. The damascus barrels did not have any markings on the barrels or the rib extention. Is this correct?
I am still looking at the A1 with the skelton butt plate. I believe the gun has been restocked and have not made a monetary move on the gun. It still makes me drool.
