    I suggest that you cock the gun,and remove the lockplate on the right side.Use a screwdriver that fits screw closely.The lockplate can usually be removed fairly easily once the screw is removed. The firing pin can be removed easily once the lockplate is removed,Sounds like there may be old grease hindering the movement of the firing pin. Good luck,this is a pretty simple problem to check out. John
