I have recently discovered the joy of 16 gauge; So much so that I traded my recently purchased Smith 30 12 gauge for a 28 16 gauge. I really like the idea of going out to a skeet & trap club with a vintage gun and a vintage gauge. Last week, I was told by a laughing Beretta guy that a stage coach was waiting for me behind the club. After we shot, I was the one with the smile.
I think that I would like to stick with 16 gauge for both trap and skeet. Does anyone have a Smith recommendation for a trap setup? I have seen a few 30 barrel 16 gauge guns available but they tend to be more expensive than the 28.
Is the Polywad Vintager the way to go for both uses? I dont load my own yet.
