Brophy says "...available only in 12-gauge..." on page 116, but then on page 117 says "The retail price of the gun, in either 12 or 20 gauge, was $250 and included Automatic Ejectors, streamlined Beavertail forend, checkerd butt, straight grip, ivory sights, standard stock dimensions 14 inches x 1 1/2 inches x 2 1/2 inches, and Skeet No. 1 and Skeet No. 2 chokes."
The 1950 Stoegers Shooters Bible catalogue lists the Premier Skeet as being available in 12-gauge with 26- or 28-inch barrels and in 20-gauge with 26-inch barrels only. Retail Price $250.45. The offering in the 5th Edition Gun Digest is the same.
