Hello and thank-you for both of your messages! Now, can you tell me how you know the difference between the 1912 model and the 1918 model? I have been reading on this site for most of the afternoon, but just was dismissed from the hospital (pneumonia) and i am trying to absorb the info and battle a headache at the same time! LOL The good thing about the computer is i can come back to it on a day when i feel better. But i am staying at Dad & Moms for a few days and wanted to give Dad the info to put into his gun case with the gun. As i'm sure in the future we will both need reminded. There are also some letters which i just can't get made out on the bottom of the barrel, there is a L and i think an I and then way out past that is wee little letters LC . It is so difficult to see for sure. Thank-you so much for all of your help my Dad was so happy for the information. My Dad came from a large, poor family. He was a HARD worker all of his life. When i hear Alan Jackson sing Small Town Southern Man, it brings tears to my eyes as it is surely my Dad he is singing about. Values of items still amaze Dad, could you give him a ballpark market value? He tells me when he is gone and i have the auction (this will never happen) don't let this gun go cheap, she's a good one! I have a son, and he now has a son, the gun and it's story will go on together. Thank-you again and may your new year be blessed.
