Mornin' Denny; First of all would like to say that I am by no means a proffesional stock maker or gunsmith, and that there are others here who could be much more helpful than I. If you will tell us where you are from, I bet Dr. Hause could turn you on to at least a couple guys who do this work full time in your neighborhood. Also, try scoping out the Frequently asked questions, and Pictue trail sections on this site. You will learm much, and at the least be treated to some real "eye candy". There is a good chance that the stock could be fixed rather than a new one made --- and easier as well as cheaper. Some of the pros are masters at this -- (splicing in new wood etc.) -- and can make the repair dissapear. Have never tried it, and wouldn't except on my own gun. We took on this project as more of a favor than anything -- and for the love of doing it, -- and because it's always nice to have another old double barrell around the house. Although it's all coming along fine, I am still plenty nervous every time I touch it. Knowing that you CAN NOT make a mistake on another man's gun. That's why I'm a diesel mechanic rather than a proffesional gunsmith. Would love to be able to fix your Dad's gun but others are much more qualified and able, and I have much to learn. Appreciate your interest and Thank You; Bill Kraft
