I purchased a flat of Polywad 2 1/2 inch 12 ga. for my 1919 Elsie Featherweight Specialty Grade and have shot skeet and recently hunted quail with them. I have the Vintager Doublewide shells which have the spresader disk in them to open up the pattern. They only come in number 8 shot. I have been satisfied with them but they are only 7/8 oz loads and I would prefer 1 oz. and number 7 1/2s for quail. I am shooting them from 26 inch barrels choked imp cyl and mod. They performed well on the little birds and I would recommend them but I too am interested in buying some from RST and doing a comparision. I will probably order the lite or maxilite in 1 oz 7 1/2 shot and let 'er rip! So I guess it comes down to your personal preference and what you are shooting/hunting. I don't think you can go wrong with either choice.
