    Refinishing Archived Message

    I have a '28 FW. The finish is a little spotty, and I want to give it a basic utilitarian refinish. In other words, I don't want to try to make it more than it is- a field grade.

    BUT stock removal/reassembly is beyond my skill level. Do I dare try to refinish with just the sideplates removed?
