A gun properly restored, as long as it is priced as a restored and not as an original piece, would not negatively impact my decision to purchase the piece. My primary concern here would be the barrel length; unless the seller has a Cody letter verifying that this gun originally shipped with 26" barrels, I would walk (unless the gun were priced as a gun with cut barrels. Cut barrels very negatively impact the value of a vintage gun; and many times more than a correct restoration). As to the odd chokes that is much less of a concern, as original chokes can always be altered/opened. Strange choking in a restored gun is another matter however; as a good gunsmith will often swage-choke a cut tube and thus restore a degree of choke (up to about modified).
