Dave, On reading your question a second time I may have jumped the gun. There is an internal screw that hold the top lever to the coupler, which in turn attaches/fits into the rotary bolt. Which screw is it??? The coupler screw is staked in place and is usually a bear to get out but usually does not strip. Perhaps your chap might give me a ring-252-637-1287-shop hrs. M-F 0800-1700.
