I just had one that just awful to put back together, I could not get the link to stay lined up with the safety pin. Finally after numerous tries and looking into the hole in the stock in that area to see that the link didn't move I was able to get it to work but the safety had to be moved to "off" to give it the room to fit correctly until the top lever was into the "fit" in the trigger plate. If not it slipped out. Sliding the trigger plate into place, the link just about makes contact with the safety link and pops out if keep "on" (Safe)Keep us posted if you still have problems.
