Just purchased FW 135353 26" (tubes touch at muzzle) 12 bore, choked c & ic. Blue = 98%, case = 90 %, wood finish trash! wrinkled like crazy but no cracks in the wood price $250. Found the finish was shellac and just washed it off with methanol but lost the red brown color when I did it. Is it possible that the factory was using garnet shellac to impart the classic color and finish? My tests with coloring walnut with finish indicate that this was likely. bill
