    Welcome Jim-we've met previously at the Mo. Valley shows in KC.
    The gun started out as a Marlin era Field, and has been restocked and after market engraved in a Germanic style. Lots of US guns found their way to Europe after WW II in the hands of soldiers, and there were lots of former smiths, stockers, and engravers out of work.
    This Specialty was worked over in Europe with new wood, possibly engraving touch up, cyanide re-case, and barrel re-blue:
