Rob: unless the gun is 'collector quality', there is no reason not to make it right for your needs. You'll use and enjoy it that much more. The other issue is that it no doubt started with 2 1/2" chambers. I would suggest asking Briley about lengthening the chambers at the time of the choke tube installation.
