    Hi,
    I'm quite ignorant about shotguns, rifles & pistols being my game of choice over the years. I have owned for 30 years a 12 Ga. side by side bearing the name "Meridian" Ser. No. 76XXX. I have been told it is a privatly branded or contract gun produced by L.C.Smith. It certainly looks like one.

    I cannot find any info about Meridian anywhere. Did Smith indeed private label guns under different names?
