Chan I don't know if Hunter Arms furnished some of their guns with these VL&A leg o mutton cases but VL&A did sell Sweet Elsies in their stores and also sold these cases. My guess would be that the gun was probably purchased from VL&A and the case was puchased at the same time or at a later date, or just the case was purchased.I would call Jesse at Cody Museum and request a letter for you gun and see if the gun was ordered by VL&A.
