Hello David, If you really want a good L C Smith Hammer Gun to SHOOT about the only way to get one is to have one built from an old one by some of the master craftsmen who can do this type of work. You can see a few pictures of a LCS Hammer Gun with TWIST BARRELS being restored by viewing one of our LCS picture trails. Go to --- http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?&p=999&uid=6511424&gid=15127852&&imgid=236998479 --- to see some examples of what Dewey Vicknair and Craig Libhart can do when they work together. Dewey does the metal work and Craig does the wood work. You will end up with a brand new butt stock built to your dimensions and a shotgun that shoots where you point it. The new stock and fore end will cost about $2700.00. The metal work will be any where from $1000.00 to $2000.00 to make it right. This adds up to about the same cost as purchasing a new high grade Browning or Beretta Over and Under shotgun which might not fit you. When you have your LCS Hammer Gun built it will fit you. In fact you will go and shoot the gun with the model stock on the gun that the final stock will be turned out from and before the final stock is finished and checkered you will shoot the gun to make dead sure the final butt stock came out like the model stock. It is really nice when it all comes together and you can break target after target with very little effort. Good Shooting To You, Jent -- jentpmitchell@msn.com
