    None of us can tell you what you should you; we can only give our personal opinions about what we might do if this was our money relative to our personal tastes/opinions in gun condition, so this is only my opinion. If the gun had mint bores, I'd be tempted; but with a poor re-stock, not so great bores, and no real condition with the finishes, I'd walk. Smith hammer guns aren't easy to find in really good conditon (most were just used up); but I have learned that one's patience will ultimately be rewarded. Given today's prices for quality restocking and vintage gun repair/restoration, you would be money ahead in the long run to wait for an example in higher condition. However, since a large percentage of double gun purchases are decisions "made from the heart"; rather than common sense, I wish you the best regardless of your decision.
