Sorry Dan-really hard to follow these threads with the posting system. The second pic I put up shows a 1917 AE 2 3/4" chamber Specialty Grade (on the left) with the solid reinforcing wedge variant marked with a 'T'-not the same gun as my first pic. Dr Bill must be correct that the brls on the right marked with a '2' are the #2 brls or a 2 brl set, NOT marked '2' because they are from a No. 2 Grade. Whew
Bottom line from Tom seems to be that pre-1913 guns with a reinforcing wedge probably had replacement brls fitted after 1913, and maybe as late as after introduction of the Double Barrel Trap gun in 20' or the LRWF in 24'.
