Interestingly, I just got done reading a few pages in Walt Snyder's Ithaca book and came upon a photo of a set of Ithaca damascus barrels. One barrel was twist, the other star damascus! Everything else about the barrels appeared normal. Why would two obviously very different (in both construction and appearance) barrel materials be used to make one set of barrels?
