According to John Houchins' book (order infro on the Home Page) Royal Steel produced by Sanderson Bros. was available on the F Grade (lowest grade) hammer gun starting in 1901. A page from the Hunter Arms catalog is reproduced on p. 103 showing the Smith Hammer Guns. Hope this helps.
