    If you wanted to give blackpowder a try both the Hogdon (sp?) and Lymans Blackpowder Handbook and Loading Manual have pressure tested loads. I have the #2 manual but I believe there is now a 3rd edition for Lyman. The IMR manual has lots of low pressure loads if you reload.

    With your 1939 gun, I'd definately shoot the low pressure smokeless loads. You do get people's attention when shooting blackpowder loads though. Makes all the fuss worth the effort! I shoot a 1902 field grade with twist barrels.
