This is another one of those value questions, but here goes. I'm considering an 1899 Grade 1 12 gauge in excellent original condition with 30" Damascus barrels. Bores are clean. The pictures I've seen are not that good, but the seller is reputable and assures me that the gun is as described. Asking price is $1,695.00. It sounds a bit high to me, but would like some input from those whose experience in such matters is greater than mine. Thanks much.
