restocking a 1914 LC Smith Field Grade/choke question Archived Message

I recently purchased a L.C. Smith Field grade double shotgun, 12 gauge, which I believe was made in 1914. The gun is generally in pretty decent condition. It's got a little bluing wear and there was some surface rust which left some slight pitting on the barrel exterior (though nothing too ugly). Overall, things look good and it seems to operate correctly (though see end of this post for a possible spoiler).

EXCEPT, that the stock is broken. The price ($175) seemed right so I took a chance. Now I'm wondering who I should send this to to have a new stock made. I realize this is a costly proposition but eventually I'd like to get it done.

Any suggestions? I'm not looking for fancy wood or deluxe checkering. I just want a plain, basic stock similar to what the gun would have originally bore. Who should I send this to who can make a new stock and generally check the thing over?

Also, it does appear that someone has cut about an inch off of the 32 inch barrels. The cut is not completely square. Other than simply squaring the barrels up is there something that can be done to improve shootability? Can chokes be restored? Can choke tubes be installed (or is that blasphemy?)? Is this a "deal breaker? With a slightly boogered crown is this thing a goner?
