Bob, There is a very qualified young man in Tenn. His name is Brad Hurt,he does fabulous work and is very reasonable with his prices. His wife Melanie Does some of the finest checkering work I have seen. They have done work for me and I am very satisfied. Their E-mail address is I suggest you contact them for an idea of what you want and what it will cost. I'm sure Brad will be happy to look at your tubes and let you know what it will take to straighten them up. The Choke configuration in most of these old guns was set deep enough that even with the loss of an inch of tube you still should have some choke restriction left in both barrels. You will have to have someone gauge them for you to determine just what is there. I hope this will help get you on your way to enjoying your L C Smith. Good Luck
