James, First of all, thank you for posting and I hope you would consider joining our association as your great-grandfather is the man who "made" L.C. Smith great. It is the quality of his work that attracted me to L.C. Smith guns years ago. A member of this group, Rich Beyer, wrote a book on LC Smith guns that mentioned a few anecdotes about Al Krause that endeared him to me greatly.Any input you can give us about Al Krause would be invaluable. As to the guns, you should be able to look at the pictures on this website of the different grades of LC Smiths to identify the guns you have. If you have a gun that doesnt match up with a picture, if you would take a picture of it and post it, somebody can identify it.
