If the gun was manufactured 1945 - 1950 the SN should have a 'S' prefix, a Single Sighting Plane rib, and the barrel marked as below without 'Hunter Arms Co.' on the L barrel
A Research Letter would confirm the DOM and likely to where the gun was originally shipped, and possibly the original purchaser
