I have a Rochester Ordnance WILDFOWL,12 gauge, 2 3/4 inch chambers (by measurement, not marked), no reinforcing lug, marked RLB, crossed cannons, flaming bomb. The serial number on the receiver and the barrels is 198621, which identifies it as one of the eight WILDFOWL Rochester Ordnance guns (per Brophy). The forearm is marked 198011, which is within the range of Rochester Ordnance serial numbers (again, per Brophy). I've always assumed that there was a mix-up on re-assembling the guns after cleaning. I'd be happy to swap forends if you happen to have 198621. Whether you do or not, you are offering a generous and valuable service which is much appreciated. Thank you. Stanley Hackett
