Thank you for that! Clearly a "transitional" gun, but with the "rounded" barrel lug and less-pronounced and narrower bolsters on the bottom of the action (my 1890 Quality 2 has the "square" barrel lug and the heavy bolsters of the prior Syracuse guns). I would accordingly date it to 1891 from what I'm seeing here.
