While applauding your good taste and enthusiasm, the gun is about 120 years old and the "minor crack" likely looks much worse with the stock removed, and will only worsen with continued use.

After the gun and barrels have been evaluated by a Smith specialist with the interest, equipment (bore scope and wall thickness gauge), and expertise to properly do so, and stock repaired, you could certainly enjoy the gun at targets. I would however limit your loads to standard target 1 oz. at 1200 fps.
