Yes,there are many of us that load or have loaded Black Powder for these old guns.I have tried different combinations.The best luck was with a lubed or coated fiber or cork cushion wad that I cooked in a beeswax mixture.This helped these loads to shoot much cleaner without a lot of crud buildup.Cleanup was a lot easier.I stopped shooting Black Powder in these guns after I took a lock plate off for a repair.All internal parts were eat up something awful.The gas from this stuff blows back through the firing pin holes and everything it has contact with it eats.I always like to comeback and reclean the bores a week or so after the first cleaning.Stuff like to grow after Shooting Black Powder.Best of luck.Charlie.
