I noticed when cocking the hammer back, the lock piece would flex some and the tip of the sear was barely on the ‘catch’ of the lock. Putting that shim in there virtually eliminated that flexing. The tip of the sear was practically resting on the center of that ‘catch’ surface.
On another subject, do you guys happen to know how many photos I can place on a message? I’d like to post some before and afters on this restoration. Appreciate any help.
