Please review the FAQs Richard, and esp. the "What was the original Hunter Arms finish of the action body, lockplates, forend iron, and screws?" in the Maintenance and Restoration section, and the Disassembly and Reassembly section

This is a Turnbull restoration, but the appropriate damascus finish would be "black & white", not browned
