George, place your barrels resting on the right barrel with the roller facing you. There is a pin located about the 2 o'clock position 1/8" from the roller. Drive that pin out and rotate the roller toward the top until you can tap the roller out. This may take a bit of doing since it sounds like the pin and spring is rusted or full of gunk. There is a possibility that the spring is also broken. I suggest you take photos along the way so it goes back together with ease. Typically I've that they are full of gunk, rust and sometimes condensation and the spring can't push the pin to activate the extractor. Further help you can call me at 717-887-0545
