Not sure how this will work out.Years ago a friend of mine had a set of 45-70 barrels fitted up to his mint condition L.C.Smith.He was smart enough to tie the gun to a spare tire to test fire it.When he test fired it the firing pins blew back through the gun and stock making a nice gun junk.The pressure from a rifle shell is much higher than that of a shotgun shell.Best of luck.Charlie.
