Wrap some steel wool on a jag, chuck a short section of cleaning rod in a drill, add some Remoil, and go to town on the chamber.
Steel based shells in even "modern" guns often stick in the chamber - try some brass base loads like the Winchester AA or Remington STS. The Remington Gun Clubs have a steel base.
If there continues to be difficulty with ejection of spent shells, you probably need a new ejector spring.
