Primer puncture

Interesting thing happened last week, was shooting my 1905 OO and it punctured a primer on in the right barrel. Was shooting Federal Gold Medal 1 oz loads. The puncture allowed the gas to blow back into the action. As a result, the right side lock plate bowed about 1/8” outward. Never seen that before. I was able to straighten out the plate and reinstall all the parts. Thankfully nothing was damaged beyond repair.
