A few more GAW photos....

All I can say is that the time from Wednesday afternoon until Sunday morning was a whirlwind. It was fun, friends, shopping and adventure! I made new friends, reconnected with old ones, found some treasures I never expected and plan to go back next year!

I have other thoughts on my time away but no real way to articulate them just yet. My hope is that will come in time.

Until then, enjoy some more photos. Many are not mine but posted with permission of my friends.

I see my table's centerpiece - which I of course didn't win.

Gah... I miss doll shopping so much. I would have been in trouble with those bucket purses.

The purses are 3D printed and she then embroiders the wrap around parts. I have way more of these than I probably should. They also make the 3D printed screens and I have more of those than I should.

This fall they hope to start an online store because their daughter is getting married next year so they won't be attending as many conventions and shows.

As for shopping, it really was incredible. In a way, it was also easier than nationals since there weren't as many people room selling and the hotel was smaller as well.

She discussed the dolls she's helped to design, a little of her own personal design history and how she's moved through the Mattel design process.

She didn't have any sneaks to share and actually made it a point to say that she couldn't.

I'll be at the national convention in Austin in early July. Mattel usually sends a designer and has a presentation. Last year in Louisville there weren't any sneaks either, but you never know.
