Barbie Convention, I was holding my breath being on the waitlist for convention. No luck here.

Did anyone get in from the waitlist? I will have to live thru eBay

My friend got off the wait list but said no when she figured out what it was going to cost. msg

No rooms at the convention rate at the hotel, the flight and then getting to the hotel, etc. This looks like a fun convention, but everyone outside of CA is saying it's a pain to get there.

I'm so sorry. There was movement on the waitlist - even up until yesterday (msg)

But with over 800 people on the list and very few dropping out until recently, most people didn't see any movement.

At one point, the number of people on the waitlist was greater than the number of conventioneer slots available. That's when the list was closed to new names as it was felt it wasn't fair to give people hope when it was highly unlikely that they would ever be able to get in.

Next year in Louisville, KY, it should be easier.

There are locations selected for 2026 (Austin, TX) and 2027 (Phoenix, AZ) and themes/host clubs/chair teams will be voted on next Tuesday morning in Palm Desert.

I'll keep everyone updated and share what I can once I learn more.

I've signed NDAs for some of the future conventions so I can't say too much. However, once the votes are held next week, I'll relay what information I can.

And there will be photos from this year's convention!
