He had a very convincing/coniving way of getting you on his side.
After Randy Seol and I left SAC and hooked back up with Steve Bartek and our old high school band....now called Buffington Rhodes, Holmes came to us and asked if we would do a few shows as the SAC. He told us that the SAC was breaking up and there were a few dates that he was committed to. The first show was with the Giant Crab in Omaha, NB. Then we took a train to San Diego. Then we came back to LA and played at the Anaheim Convention Center. Then we found out that the SAC had not broken up. When we were done we asked to get payed and Holmes refused....he ripped us off again!
_____________
We were NOT the band that Holmes had put on some southern tour that were given a cease and desist order.

: Hi. Not much of a project, and not really
: mine. Just an effort by the notorious Bill
: Holmes to keep the franchise alive. He
: pulled some guys together & asked me to
: record some tracks. I liked the guys - jack
: Bielan, Terry Rae (from some iteration of
: Blue Cheer), jack Feldman (occasional
: bassist for Chuck Berry and father of
: Korry), gary solomon (from hullabaloos'
: Palace Guard - with a very hot wife) and
: some guitarist. It was fun, but not enough.
: Went back to school after that. (And later
: felt guilty for being on the wrong side of
: the Holmes BS - sorry guys.)

: Could you shed some light on the while
: Strawberry SAC situation? I've heard their
: music and I know it was a Greg Munford
: project, but that's all. Much appreciated!
