I'm planning on getting myself a copy of Wolf Hall, Hilary Mantel's Booker prize winner. Anyone read it? A friend recommended it. She isn't particularly a fan of Jeremy's work, but said she pictured him every time Sir Thomas appeared in the novel (and I shall be picturing Sam Neill and James Frain too, no doubt, though I shall endeavour NOT to picture JRM!!).
Going back to your post, Joan, it does indeed sound fascinating! I think they do that sort of thing from time to time in various of the Cambridge colleges (in fact I may have sung at one as a teenager, I can't quite recall exactly now ...).
As for what Jeremy might be doing ... I don't much mind! So long as it's something that interest him then I know we will be able to look forward to the result. Taking a clue from the updated and contemporary image of Jeremy now being shown on his imdb page (previously it was an image of Jeremy as Ivor Novello) I imagine he's hoping his recent outing as Proctor will lead to more contemporary roles. We shall see ...
