People who fall or jump off high buildings all land in the same way, face down with one leg sort of bent at a funny angle.

People being sick do it with a coughing sound instead of a realistic spewing “huarrgghhh” noise.

All single men only have a jar of mayonnaise and one of those cardboard Chinese noodle boxes in their fridge (and a couple of bottles of beer). They will try the Chinese but it will have gone off, so they will just have a bottle of beer.

There is never any coffee in Starbucks style cups, they are always clearly too light

People order burgers and fries and don’t eat anything except a nibble on one chip which they actually use to help punctuate sentences

In Alpha Papa when Alan and Pat are escaping from the radio station in the van, there’s a billboard in shot with a picture of Gigg Lane on it. I think it’s advertising the Co-op and is about FC United but given it was taken about ten yards from my old seat I clicked it instantly.

When it was on TV, they'd always dub over the bit when Miggs says "I can smell your cnut", to say "I can smell your scent".
It meant the next bit didn't make sense, because Lecter says "I however cannot", then proceeds to tell her exactly what scent she wears.

Not a thing on a specific film or TV show, but when somebody gets a glass of water, they never let the water run - it would be warm and rank straight out the tap.

In the film Widows, a Nina Simone song plays, whilst a turntable has an Atlantic Records record playing on it. Nina Simone was never on Atlantic.

Whenever anyone is using a computer, every single click, scroll or keyboard entry is met with a little bleep by the computer. Virtually no software does this anymore and if we all worked in offices using computers, the mass bleeping from everyone else's computer would drive us all mad.

This used to drive me mad too, but then I realised it is for the visually impaired viewers' benefit - if somebody's just staring at a computer and you can hear a bit of clicking, they wouldn't know what the fuff was happening.

Same goes whenever a cat goes past, and it meeows - cats just don't do that, but it is an audible clue to the action in the show.

Mostly American films or TV, but when somebody is on the phone, they never say goodbye, just hang up. Really pees me off that, normally takes me about half an hour to end a phone call.

Arranging to meet at a fancy restaurant to deliver bad news. They’ve had to make the reservations, get ready, drive there etc. They order the food and, before it arrives (or just as it’s served) the fella will say: “I want a divorce” and the wife throws down her napkin and storms out.

Why tell her BEFORE the meal? Makes no sense. Have the nice meal and then ruin her life when you get home.

See also driving in EVERY SINGLE FILM OR TV SHOW. I've never ever understood this obsession with the person behind the wheel steering it from side to side as if they're doing a slalom course when the car is shown as travelling in a straight line. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

The Shining, Danny eating a butty when he hear his dad gets the job at The Overlook Hotel, one second it's a full sandwich, next it look like it's fallen apart completely, then next clip it's a full sandwich again, one of Kubricks very rar fuck ups, or was it deliberate.

In Jaws, the scene where Quint is eaten by the shark is edited out of order, so he has blood in his mouth, then no blood, then a huge explosion of blood, then no blood again. Also during the autopsy of the first victim’s remains, Hooper picks up the arm and says “so this is what happens”, but doesn’t follow it up with anything.

In most films I can see the tyre marks from previous takes where cars pull up in sand or dust.

That autopsy scene was cut down a bit. There was more of the remains and more description of the attack but in editing they thought it dragged on a bit unnecessarily.

Also in that Quint scene, his Manchette swaps hands.

There's a load in Jaw, like the "Orca" sign looks shiny in some scenes and not in others.

All these errors are sound obviously, I suppose back when they were making it they didnt realise nutjobs like us film fans nowadays would be watching it 8304 times.

The scene in Pulp Fiction where Jules and Vincent turn up at that flat to collect the suitcase, there's a moment where a guy just appears from nowhere and unloads a clip and all the bullets miss them both. On the second or third time I watched it I noticed the bullet holes were already in the wall in the frame just before he starts shooting.

I also remember realising (on probably my millionth watch) of Rocky IV that there is a very short clip of Apollo in the ring as he's waiting to fight Drago where he points at him and his boxing gloves have miraculously disappeared.

I class both examples as some of my finest achievements in life.

Watched the Italian Job (original) for the umpteenth time tonight. Noticed in the start scene you can see a body / dummy fall out the car when it falls down the cliff.
This might be a well known fact but first time for me.
