What a shitfest it is

Our buyer has pulled out and we are well on with buying the new house

Back on the market and hoping we can get a new buyer ASAP, meanwhile additional costs added to the whole debacle and potentially losing the house we are meant to be buying

My Uncle used to do removals,My Grandad started the business in 1890. In the early 60s he was charging 1 pound 15 shillings per hour for a large van and 2 men. It’s hard to get your head around that price.

We sold our house twice in 3 days in 2021 and still paid nigh 2 grand not to move.

Feel your pain to some extent. Not as bad.

Moved south to north last year and I still really harbour a grudge at the way the sellers solicitor made everything difficult for no obvious reason other than he could. It’s an absolute shit show, from viewing, offers, gazumping, having to basically beg for a mortgage of any kind from a cunt bank to the absolute stress of actually moving all your stuff once all the other hurdles are done.

Plus side I love my new house and where I live 🤷‍♂️

Yeah it will be worth it in the end as it means we will be mortgage free. The missus is a right stress head though, which isnt helping.

We'll be doing this in about 4-5 years time. Looking forward to it and dreading it in equal measure. When we moved into this house the fella who bought our old one, his money didn't come through on the Friday so we were stuck in a hotel all weekend, with nothing but the clothes we were wearing.

I believe so. Our buyer claimed it was redundancy which if true is fair enough, but still leaves us in a hole.
