    Hybrid, obviously, has a lot more tech in it. So the insurers are using that as an excuse to rake in more money.

    I drive a full electric and the first 2 years insurance were £250 (went up to £330 with LV) and £285 (shopped around and the AA were cheapest).
    I read that, as EV's are fairly new, the insurers had no data so no way of pricing the different classes. They are now saying they have more info and have seen that EV's are a lot more costly to repair/replace so I expect my insurance to double in June.
