I think a lot of it is misplaced loyalty, but that’s just my opinion. Moyes is what he is - a steady hand with a glass ceiling he will never break through, who will always look to play down our chances to (in part) protect his own reputation. I think he has (inexplicably in my view given his history) loads in the bank with loads of our fans and gets away with stuff like that today where most others absolutely wouldn't. He doesn’t just get away with it - loads will obsessively and systematically jump on anything critical of him. Proper cult like stuff.

He’s done a good job overall in the context of what he took over, though. And a couple of seasons of mid table nothingness is a huge leap forward - that’s obvious too. I just don’t think he’s beyond criticism. I also think he’ll be serving this exact sort of shite up in two trophy-less years, and the same characters will be defending him just as vehemently.

Definitely not angry here either - more resigned, I’d say.
