Agree that Beto was bad enough to play himself out of the starting 11, even with the general lack of service. I’ve never really rated him and thought DCL was levels above him but I’m stunned at how bad he was last night. No effort, touch or skill - just lumbered about, late for everything and the ball bounced miles off him every time he touched it. The one time he held it up was when he touched it three times with one kick and it fluked to a blue shirt.

If Barry can’t dislodge him then we really are in the shit when it comes to strikers.

The only saving grace is Beto has proven he can slot when it’s put on a plate for him, so we probably need to just pray our attacking midfielders can do that regularly.
